Does anyone own or sail one of these? Any positive or negative thoughts before I shell out for one? The lines look good to me (last boat was a Vancouver 27 so used to the vices of longish keels) and I’ll be using her for longer passages rather than buoy hopping and weekending. More interested in comments re sea motion and comfort (cosiness) than criticisms of speed or lack of it!

I sailed a couple of thousand miles on a chum's Liz 33 which is just like the 31 but with a counter. Chum went on to do an Atlantic circuit (his blog is at "The Adventures of Arctic Smoke"). Very positive memories, great sea boat, two of us were very comfy and would be fine for three on good terms. It had the original Bukh 10hp which in itself was OK, although getting a bit tired.
Tom replaced the chainplates in preparation and used bronze fitted to outside of hull. Just as well as a couple of the stainless bolts sheared through crevice corrosion wasting.
Likely to be an old boat now I guess so expect extra expense on making sure the gear is reliable.
I knew the boat was slipperier than I might have first thought so all in all, an under-rated old school classic, safe and stable but also capable of clocking up some good passage times. Yes, unpredictable in reverse!
