eliminate your holdung tank system

I'm not sure how many boats could fit this set up in the heads

Er no! and from the website

After flushing, all toilet waste is passed through the macerator pump, which is then conveyed to the waste holding tank.

So how does that eliminate a holding tank again /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

Power usage will be very high - every litre of waste liquid has to be boiled off before solids can be incinerated - so it does not seem a very green solution.

I can just imagine using this bog the morning after a few pints of Guinness and a hot curry the night before! !

Here's a concept used for landsites, which has potential for incorporation into an integrated boat waste management device.

There is a system that pumps waste into the exhaust system for mobile homes, no doubt this could be adapted to marine engines.

They do warn you that you must be doing at least 80 KPH when selecting the pump, if less the smell and smoke is unbelievable.

Re: a composting loo

this is probably a better solution for boats. SWMBO was looking at getting one of these for her ditch-crawler, but for 1/10 of the price a portapoti is the recessionary choice.

Re: a composting loo

I can just imagine the scene, queue outside the heads, "sorry, toilet still composting the last lot. limited storage don't ya know, can you come back next week/month?"
