I am looking for recommendations for a a good electronics technician in the Lefkas/Preveza area that can install a range of navigation and other damaged systems following a mastop lightning strike. The insurance claim is in but I am just looking ahead in anticipation.

I would add Dimitris Liakos as very good indeed. Used to work for Paleros until he got fed up with clients shouting at him because he arrived late after Paleros promised he could do 10 jobs a day! I was actually his first client in June last year and have used him a few times since. Really knows his stuff and a very pleasant bloke as well. Speaks good English. Tel: +30 6983046183. E-mail: liakosms@gmail.com
For anyone who knows a certain knowledgable marine surveyor in Lefkas Marina, he turned up in the bar in a very bad temper one evening last year after spending the whole day trying to get his new AIS and MFD to talk to each other. I told him Liakos would be on my boat at 8 the next morning and bet him a beer he would sort the problem in less than a minute. It actually took about 40 seconds, including writing the process down. Said surveyor was amazed!
Metronix have a good reputation but the only time I went there I think I got the Saturday boy. Austrian, but knew less than I did!

Agree with this. Dimitris fixed our fridge for us earlier this year. He appeared on time, happy smiley person accompanied by a younger man obviously under instruction. Took a look at the fridge, asked the younger man to have a look, chatted with him for a few minutes then fixed the fridge in about 30 seconds. Brilliant. And his English, whilst not idiomatic, is good.

Thanks for the second recommendation I will make a note of it. I am hoping that I can commission Dieter form Metronix, he came on the boat on saturday and I was impressed by his knowledge, professionalism and old world Austrian charm (he kissed the back of swimbo's hand), I thought i was going to hear the gentle click of his heels but he was barefoot. His estimate is a bit high but its the first one in. I suppose it will be down to what the insurance co. will pay out.

I could recommend his sorry guy , between him and the other so call fridge guy seven call outs , it cost me a few hundred Euros and in the end fridge still wasn't working , I ended up fixing it myself .
I glad you both had good service from him , but I can not honestly recommend someone I didn't .
Dieter know is stuff , he really is a Ace .

You mean Dieter from Metronix. He and his Greek employees were good when I dealt with them. Contact details below for the OP.
