Hi all,

I have just had a shed full of electronics (bought at Southampton) fitted to my new Southerly 110 'Magic Fly' which I bought last November. I used Essex Marine Electronics which is the new name for the old company that used to be located at Titchmarsh Marina at Walton On The Naze. This new firm has been set up by David Cosby who bought out the boat sales at Titchmarsh a year or so ago (Westwater Yachts Sales). I bought the Southerly Via Westwater and they were superb. The new electronics installation is being headed up by John Archer who was formerly the electronics guy at Foxes Chandlery and I have to say the service I received was also superb! They fitted a new Garmin 5008 Chartplotter, fast heading sensor, GPS, remote monitor for the chartplotter, Raymarine Graphic all linked to the Raymarine Autopilot and factory fitted electronics, Garmin Radar on a Scanstrut articulating post, TV, Status TV aerial on the top of the mast, a new stainless tube had to be fabricated for the additional wiring from the navpod to the cockpit deck...again superb! Everything worked perfectly and when finished I'd never have known anyone had been on board. The actual guys that did the work fit out the Oysters so workmanship was to a very high standard indeed.

So if you are looking for this kind of service and at excellent price you could not do better than to have a chat with these guys. I really can recommend them, the communication is excellent and that is half the battle IMHO!

You can contact them on 01255 672500
