Electronic engine/gearbox controls - suggestions

Anyone got experience with decent brand of aftermarket engine and gearbox controls???

Any quality brands I could look for??

MAN diesels and TwinDisc boxes...but present mechanical system plays up occassionally so looking to change to electronic.

no direct exp of retro fitting, but MBM or MBY did a detailed article on retrofitting, on a real boat that was having the job done, about 2 years ago. Anyone remember more accurately when/which mag it was?

MBY did one I think about the electric morse system fitted to a Broom 37 crown with volvo 40b engines.

Vetus do a range of Hydraulically operated controls. Any good as no electrics to go wrong?

it is the Vetus ones I have at the moment and they play up a bit by sometimes not engaging/disengaging.

am gonna strip and clean EVERYTHING but wondered how expensive the leccy ones are...
