Electrician in Eastbourne?

Something is draining my batteries even when everything is off at the circuit breakers.

Can anybody recommend a decent electrician somewhere around Sovereign Harbour?

Have you tested the battery capacity? You could have a dead battery that is not holding charge. How old are the batteries? Got a Hydrometer? web page

I'd offer to have a look but I'm busy till Tuesday then I'm off for a couple of weeks!

Thanks for that. They are four Sonnenschein 150ah deep cycle gel batteries monitored and charged by a mastervolt system. About 5 years old.

When they were disconnected for several months they held there charge perfectly.

Now, when connected (in two banks) on a 24v system they will progressively lose their charge one by one.

The system is quite complicated being 12v/24v/240v with shunts, relays, converters, inverters etc. Beyond my capabilities I am afraid.

I have lived with it for some time as I am either on shorepower or at anchor or cruising with the engine alternator charging up.
