Electrician for my engine

Can anyone recommend an electrician who can diagnose an intermittent fault on my inboard engine? Sometimes when I put the key in there is nothing and I want to get this sorted before I launch. The boat is based on the Blackwater - south bank.

I should think that you just need a mechanic to work through the connections and relays/fuses. When my engine wouldn't start in Holland last year I rang John Rook of Althorne Marine (07939100822) and he told me what it was likely to be and it was Local guy who knows his stuff and doesn't take the micky with prices either.

If your engine is a Yanmar, look for the fuse in the wiring loom near the engine. That causes no emd of problems as it corodes.

I had this problem, in my case it was due to bad contacts battery - starter motor.
