Electrical Wires On New Horn

I have just purchased a new electrical dual trumpet type horn.

Each horn has a speaker type electrical cable with two black wires, one of which has a grey line down it. Does it matter which wire I feed the 12v supply to, as it doesn't come with any wiring instructions and I would hate to damage the horn internals by connecting it up the wrong way.

It may not matter, but if it does then the wire with the stripe is almost certainly the positive.

Convention says that the marked wire is positive.
