Hi all
Quick question I have a 2011 Bavaria 36 cruiser (Farr design)
Having new rigging fitted in next few days does anyone known if the electrical connections from factory are easy to deal with?
Rigger is suggestion we call in a electronics guy to deal with for the mast off/on just wondering if its all connections under the mast or straight through cables for things like Radar, mast lights VHF cable etc.
Hoping to have it all completed in a working day
Anyone willing to part with any experience
Thanks John

Remove the ceiling panel just forward of the mast (front cabin) and you will find all the connectors. Hopefully if the mast has been down previously all the wiring will have some form of connector. Make sure you photograph and label them. I replaced all the previous 'choc block' type for wago connectors - much easier.

When the vessel was commissioned all mast connections would be completed below decks. Removing the panel as Aquanaught suggests, and in advance of contractors arriving, is easy but requires care, especially with deck seals which may have to be remade with sealant after reinstallation. Mark the mast's precise position on the deck pad before lifting, and if it's raining protect mast equipment from water ingress. Of course, use the opportunity to check out all lights, reseal etc.
