If you want to save money on repairs in your yacht make shure that any electrician that decides to install or modify your electical system alway makes a electrical drawing diagram to add to your files to be able to pass the info to the next users . If the electrician is not able to do it ...get another one ..you will save pleanty of money by not having to spend time to trace loose cables .

Jolly good idea, Christopherr. Can we develop it a bit more please ?

Given that the "as-installed" wiring is in three dimensions, what's the best method of showing this on a 2D piece of paper ?

What are your views on colour-coding of the wiring to identify different circuits ?

Are there any internationally recognised symbols for electrical equipment and wiring which you suggest can be obtained and used ?

If you are going to use a programme, what would you recommend ?

thanks
