Decided to replace the secondary light for the compass this weekend.
So unscreww two screws on the face of the Contest, bulbs are soldered to cable, trace wire back through bulhead, undo four screws pull back of unit off wires disapear into the deckhead , undo eight deckhead screws and six port surround screws. Remove deckhead ahha ! compass light leads crimped into main harness, cut off crimps, fitt new marine grade terminal block fix block to deckead, strip tin twist leads screw into block, check all connections then doo up all the crews again
Why can't designers just have a simple bayonet fitting light bulb ? /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif
