Electric winches

Anyone know a good supplier of Lewmar or Harken powered winches.
I`m asking here as after goodness knows how many calls to various swindelries I still have NOT got a price or a spec.
" what do you mean? " "you know those round things that you use to wind in sails and things" "Oh what size chain are you using" God help us all !! and I only want to spend a few grand with you.

If you have modern enough Lewmar winches you can buy electric conversion kits here
Seateach also sell the complete Lewmar winches, example here.

My own boat has Harken winches, one of which is electric, but I am not sure who supplies them.

We bought 2 Lewmar 40 electric winches from Mailspeed, they will get you a price no problem.
Around 2450 gbp for the 2 with all control gear, and that was discounted !.
Not cheap, but great.. am fitting them at the moment, literall, portside went in yesterday.. hopefully starboard today.
Beautifully engineered. but the motor gearbox is not small !.. make sure you have enough room.. we had to butcher a few things but hey ho ! Lewmar electric winch manual

consider buying from a US supplier such as Defender Industries or even West Marine. The US is on sale now!
Evan with VAT you should do ok

Ely, the issue COULD be the weight, they are NOT light !!.. postage would cost a bomb me thinks.. but worth a try.
