Electric toilet problems

Seriously ?

What do you imagine i use to wire the boats up with, that i do every day of my working life ?

I do not and will not buy AWG cable. All of my connectors and tools are designed for metric cable.

I also do not use imperial nuts on metric bolt and vice versa

I don't know what you do Paul as I can't access your website. Sorry!

The most common size of wire on a boat is 2.5mm, followed by 1.5mm. I also use some 4mm, 6mm, 8mm, 10mm and of course, various sizes of battery cable.
I wasn't suggesting it was the right size, just that for those of us who don't have a reel of each for work it's easier to buy one reel of cable, and 6mm seemed to fit everything without being too physically large. It's also easy to pull without breaking. I was well aware it's massive overkill but buying a couple of metres of cable at a time has a tendency to add hours or days to projects so the extra cost was worth it to me as I value my time highly

6mm seems surprisingly large to me too, but whatever works.

When I rewired Kindred Spirit and then later Ariam, I bought a large reel of 1.5mm and hung it up where I could easily spool off any length required. I also had a smaller reel of 2.5mm. The few runs that needed anything larger I bought by the metre.

Yes definitely oversized but it does mean that my spare reel is now suitable for every job on board. I did have to make a run for the solar too which needed it, hence the choice.

Maybe it wouldn't be extra cost because I find you pay through the nose buying lots of short pieces.
