I need to sort out the wiring on my 20 year old trawler yacht style boat and want to change the main AC and DC switch panel. The Blue Sea Systems stuff looks good but for what I need would cost over £1200. Does anyone know of another supplier or where I can get Blue Sea with a decent discount

This is great register today and already have some replies !

I use Cef " City electrical supplies" and they will make boards to order and to spec should be around the £400 .

Try looking at www.sailnet.com, then find the blue seas panels and check out the prices. It's an American company but I bought one from them last year and it only took 2 weeks to arrive. Even with the import duties it only cost 1/4 of the UK RRP. You can get CE approved ones from them as well but they are slightly more expensive.
Hope this helps

You could always design your own, with the laminate board, have it engraved, and buy the components seperately, from maplins or similar. This would save you a fortune and you would know your wiring very well, when you had finished. You could use domestic type switches and circuit breakers for the mains side, instead of through the nose "marine" items. You should also use correct crimp on terminals and tinned copper wire.
