Anyone know if a conversion kit is available?

Honda do not offer this option for the BF5, so it would have to be a third-party accessory.

Not normally a problem to start with the cord-pull, except that I've injured my shoulder, and starting by hand is hurting just a tad!

TIA,

Ron.

With a top mounted recoil starter there is unlikely to be any provision for mounting a starter motor and the flywheel is unlikely to have a ring gear with which a starter motor would engage. If there were other models using the same engine block that did offer electric starting as an option there might have been a posibilty but as it is very very unlikely I would think.

You will have to upgrade to a BF10 /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Thanks, VicS - that's rather what I thought.

It would be nice, though, if one were to discover that the starter from, say, a Honda lawnmower could be easily bolted on!

Honda BF10.. hmmm... t'would render my little boat somewhat "ass down" methinks. Maybe I just need a bigger yacht!

Ron.
