The Register has the story. It'll do 50mph, run for 3 hours and circumvent noise related legislation by being silent. I guess the upside is that if they can sell enough of these it'll bring the price of batteries and motors down a bit; the downside is obviously jet-skis silently running around at 50mph.

They could be 600 volts to get to 50 knots.

Bucket of water over them if they passed close could be spectacular.

So it can hit 50mph, and run for 3 hours, i suspect that means it can hit 50mph and run for 15 mins OR run for 3 hours if u are idling around in calm water.
