The main project for this summer will be upgrading the heating, this is two questions in one, really.
1) The eberspacher (when it works) heats the saloon and the aft cabin OK, but it leaves the galley area cold.
An oil filled radiator tops it up nicely but I was wondering about a permanent fixture to save keep lugging the radiator about.
There appears to be some new things on the market, flat panel infrared heaters. Anyone have any experience? Advantage seems to be they're very slimline and low powered but not sure whether infrared would really be suitable.
The other option might be a small oil filled radiator but wall-mounted. But all the ones I've found are quite long, I'd need one under 2' and ideally a bit smaller.
Any other options I've missed?
2) The heads. Both are absolute ice boxes in the winter! The forward one will be heated with a second diesel heater, but the aft cabin won't be.
I was wondering if an electric towel rail might do the job? If so, are there any safety issues with it being in the shower?
I'm struggling to find an IP67 rated one small enough, but the electrical connection would actually be outside the room, so would a normal one be OK?
Thanks in advance,
