Electric Dingy Inflator/Pump

I see on point in sending £80-£250! on a 12v pump. For less than half the price you could buy two lilo 12v pumps and fill both tubes at the same time if it's speed your after.

I did my very best not to spend that, but I needed a self-contained pump, as I was usually inflating the flubber 100 yards or more from the car, and this was the only one I could find that gave the necessary pressure from an entirely self-contained pump. Yes, I could have humped a battery and a pump but, at the time, I needed the least effort possible.

A lilo pump will barely get the shape into the tubes and floor, let alone enough pressure. I resisted buying a proper pump for a long time but now I have, I kick myself for not getting it sooner.

I have no idea why the great sailing public feels the need to make things far more difficult than they need to be. Convenience and comfort are ok to have....

After which, you pump the tubes up to pressure with your foot pump. Our dinghy has an inflatable HP floor, a lilo pump barely makes that the right shape.

You could be pumping the floor by the supplied pump whilst the tubes are getting the lions share of the air from cheap 12v pumps.

I could. Or I could use my high pressurepump to do the lot, and spend the time putting on the outboard, check8ng the fuel and chucking the gear and food from boot to boat. Wheels down, and trundle off to the slipway.

My Rule dingy inflator has just given up the ghost after 15 years of use. Before I rush out and buy another one are there any other products on the market that you would recommend?
Requirements are that it pumps up a 2.6m dingy relatively quickly and to a reasonable pressure.

I have a cheap vacuum cleaner onboard for boat cleaning, it has a blower function and inflates our Zodiac in 30 Seconds its brilliant!

The vacuum cleaner shown is slightly bigger than the one on our boat but it does the same job

Sorry i cant get the video to load, but any vacuum cleaner with a blow function will work just hold the nozzle against the valve and up she goes
