Hello
Can anyone give me the name of the guy who lives on his boat in Southsea Marina who was a bit of a whizz with electronics? I've used him before but can't find his details now, l am hoping he can rejuvinate my 'dead' bike battery!

Thanks in anticipation.

Just a suggestion...
Would it be better to use the title 'electronics whizz, Southsea Marina needed'?

Not wishing to interfere, but your title restricts you viewers!

Tony

Here’s a better link that goes to the ebike section. E-Bike Batteries
Don‘t be overwhelmed - give them a call and describe what you are looking for.

I’ve no connection with the company apart from observing favourable comments in the ebike forum I visit frequently.

Your electric bike battery will probably by Lithium cells in series and probably around 30 volts. Each cell about 3.7 volts. Now if you open up the battery pack you may be able to identify individual cells. Like 8 or 9 cells or possible a multiple of cells in parallel to get capacity. Your expert may decide you should replace the battery pack or he or you may disconnect the batteries and check each cell individually for performance. You probably can't get the pack to reach full charge status on a charger.
This is a charge controller that can charge one cell and may help you find the bad cell. Replacement cells are described by physical size ie 18650 is a common cell size used in flashlights being 18mm in diameter and 650mm long. You may be able to find on the net a replacement cell. (or perhaps you shold just replace the pack) Incidentally cheap Chines 18650 do not have any thing like the claimed capacity and can be real rubbish. (look for comments on net) ol'will

I can sell you rubbish from my kitchen bin, if you like. The price will be very good.
