I found this on the Tayna website. (apols' if this is old news)

However their info is not 100% - on 2 July 2013 an "Intention To Dissolve Company" was filed a Companies House

http://www.tayna.co.uk/Elecsol-Batteries

"Elecsol Europe Ltd were a producer of sealed wet lead acid and AGM leisure batteries. Elecsol batteries had a carbon fibre additive added to the plates during manufacture.

The Elecsol unique selling point were long manufacturer serviced warranties. Unlike most battery warranties, Elecsol handled the complete warranty of the initial 12 months of ownership.

Elecsol batteries have been unavailable for purchase since 2013, although Companies House do not currently show the company as having been dissolved."

Well, thank God for that. I had warranty problems and they were rude and unhelpful.

So the question is :-

1 their unique carbon fibre mat didnt work, leading to many claims, and end of business

2 Customers didnt like carbon being between the plates as it might conduct and flatten the battery, so didnt buy from them.

So which was it?

It was fine for me, How about you?

Pair of Elecsol 110AH fitted and so far 6 years faultless. Good enough for me.I would have replaced with same again if available when the time comes.

More accurate to say "He was rude and unhelpful." as the UK importer was seemingly a one man show. His 'offices' were a single unit on an small industrial estate not far from where I live, piled high with various used packaging and unopened correspondence. I know because I visited in person several times when my warranty was not honoured, with no success as no one was ever there.
No great loss as any advantage of their product was far outweighed by appalling customer service.
