Any recommendations to source service parts from? Only need the usual filters etc, engine is 1979 vintage, ford mermaid turbo. Likely to be a Dorset/turbo 4? It's claimed to be 150hp, but googling seems to suggest most are 140hp (it's in a channel islands 22)

Looks as if Mermaid still supply spares, but wondering if there's a cheaper/better source.

Fuel filters if still original are cav 296's or equivalents, £10 a dozen, oil filters if spin on ph 2975's again lots of them about, Gasket sets from Gaskets for classics all on ebay, clips and pipes from anywhere, but go silicon they are much better than the hard rubber. If you get stuck give me a shout, I gather you have four cylinders we have six but they are virtually the same as far as bits go.

I had one of a similar vintage called Stalwart, definitely 140hp. I bought all my filters from a local farm shop, being Ford based they are readily available anywhere. And I would second the idea of going the silicon route for the pipes.
