Hello
whats you views on the Elan power 42 ht ? with d6 310 engines aprox 2006.
there was on of these on the hard for sale for a while at medway, do you know what happened to this boat ?

thanks

Good boat - much underrated.
Still one of the best hard tops around in terms of looks.

Clever 3 cabin layout if you need it.

Weak points are no tender garage, and fairly inflexible cockpit seating.
Saloon is quite tight but the cockpit dining table makes up for it.

How is your boat

hi
my boat is on the hard standing at conwy now, (i met the boat engineer at 9am thursday and we was lifted out at 11am) one of your boys there is going to move the engine forward, remover the bits off the transom and repair. it was'nt bad but i like to keep things perfect, we do alot of hours,
i am looking for a larger boat with hard top and sliding roof to let the sun food in.
i love the my prestige 38s but i would just like to creep the size up abit.

the boat was fine but id never owned a boat with outdrives before and to be honest i didn't like them.
the engines are d6 350 hp fitted to that boat not 310.
i saw the boat up for sale again about a month ago in a marina next to Gosport and may well still be for sale

i did see that boat, with ancaster, i think they are having a laugh with that price, it is the most expensive in the world.
it may have had new trim and covers, but i don't think they will get anywhere near that asking price.
any chance of an heads up on the price by pm?
thanks pete

are you interested in buying the boat

are you interested in buying the boat

i saw this boat 12 months ago, but i wanted newer, so i went and bought a 08/09 prestige 38s, i like the prestige but want bigger, i will not sell the prestige till after i buy,
yes i did re-look at this boat and i spoke with the broker last week but the price has turned me off, the elan seems like a good boat but its a bit of an unknown underdog, there is two more on the med a lot newer and a lot cheaper. if i did buy one it would be another stop gap till i get the princess v39 money. so just keeping my options open,
do i bid ancaster the price it should be or rock off to france or italy and buy one at the right price and leave it in the med.

if theres two more on the med a lot newer and a lot cheaper even with the cost of bringing them back
that would be my choice .
i sold the boat at a reduced price because of a poor survey.

If u can buy before you sell why don’t you sell then buy a v39

Because i would be taking the money out of my business, with the view of paying it back before it became takings which would incure alot of income tax in one year, which leaves me building up slower because i don't want to pay any kind of super tax.
if anyone else can tell me a faster way of geting my hands on the money without finance or bank robbery, i am all ear's.
