The current owner started sawing Eivir but for a serious enthusiast it might be not to late for rescue.

2007 Eivir got an award for its preservation.

Thats a shame. Is she on the NRHV? They currently have no powers to stop a UK owner doing this, but are trying to get some. I'm sure that she's worth far more as a project than as scrap, so could a "fairy godmother" be found for her?
