EGNOS status is that the three EGNOS GEO satellites are connected to the EGNOS computing platform and are currently being used for integration and validation tests of the system. The signal broadcast by the EGNOS satellites is for the time being exclusively used for EGNOS testing purposes. EGNOS status is that the three EGNOS GEO satellites are connected to the EGNOS computing platform and are currently being used for integration and validation tests of the system. The signal broadcast by the EGNOS satellites is for the time being exclusively used for EGNOS testing purposes. We do not recommend to use the signal for the time being.
The EGNOS satellite constellation includes the ESA satellite ARTEMIS (PRN 124), Inmarsat AOR-E (PRN120) and IOR-W (PRN126).
EGNOS start of operations is currently planned for March 2005 pending successful finalisation of on-going tests. The EGNOS system is planned to be declared available for non safety critical applications in Q2 2005 and will then undergo operational qualification activities towards its availability for safety of life services in 2006.
