Egadi Islands, Sicily - Cruising Permit

I learnt yesterday that to vist and cruise the Egadi Islands off Sicily's NW coast it is now necessary to have and buy a cruising permit. When I was there two summers ago this was not the case. The permit can be obtained online at www.ampisoleegadt.it - the site is in Italian only! I have also been told that fines of €200 have been levied for not having such a cruising permit.
