The increase in the level of business I am doing with Europe is welcome, but the extent to which the change from around E1.60 to E1.39 is going to have a reverse effect on our spending in Europe has I think been largely hidden by existing UK stock levels.

Last Friday I received notice that the COST price of a Steiner Commander V binocular goes up by a staggering £95 on Friday 11th July! This is an increase of something over 20% which probably involves a bit of catch up apart from the exchange rate. But still the percentage exchange rate change, which my poor maths thinks is about 13% must have an effect on everything we buy in Europe.

If you have plans to buy a new Merc, Renault, VW, Beneteau, Bavaria, etc. it would seem a good idea not to hang around, and if specifically you had been promising yourself a new Steiner it looks like you have five days in which to save some dosh.

Well a lot further East than Stevenage anyway, and I'm sure it won't be affected one way or the other by changes with the Eurozone, the dollar is holding nicely.

The site does appear to be down, thanks for the info I'm looking into it, it was OK an hour ago.

During the uploading of a windows update the servers shut down for themselves instead of waiting for a timed reboot order and nobody noticed. All should be OK now.
