I have to use stainless rigging screws for two shrouds under moderate load, All the rest I can replace with new bronze bodied ones. In the past have used Copaslip on ordinary steel threaded fasteners that I want to be able to undo. Is it suitable for stainless threads to prevent galling, or is there something better?

I use a nickel based anti-sieze. I can't remember its name but is it any good? -well I've never had any galling since I've used it but who can say if it would have happened anyway.

It's quite difficult to prevent galling entirely but nickel based thread lubricants overcome some of the problems of copper and are preferred in many industries. Molybdenum disulphide is also effective.

The only 'never-sieze' that prevents stainless on stainless galling, is the one that contains molybdenum disulphide.

It works fairly well but you will end up with black smudges on sails, lines, children, etc despite every effort being made to clean off all the excess.

Nickelslip then? From the makers of Copaslip and molyslip.

They do a dry film spray on MoS. Might solve the problem of Molyslip on children
