Can you articulate in more detail what is happening. ?
There are numerous connectors in the system so that would be a place to start

You seem to have changed your post as moments ago it read 1.11 no fault.

Yes - I did change the post as I reset the whole system and tried the fault code again. Code 6.4 is incorrect signals from the potentiometer or the control panel on an alternative control position (or a fault in the ms unit).
