The ECMWF weather site seems to have upgraded to a new site (same address). However, you now need a login and certificate to access the information. Unhelpfully, they support the automatic downloading of a new certificate but provide no information w.r.t. obtaining a UID except to say 'contact your representative'. Anyone checked this out?

Try http://grads.iges.org/pix/euro.fcst.html This seems to be the same information in a slightly different form, without the need for a password.

Tony - I have just gone into it, and I frankly I can't understand it. Appears I have to go to a local computer supplier who can produce a certificate.

There are other alternatives thank God, as I can't be bothered to persue this

You can see the ecmwf charts on www.wetterzentrale.de they also have the uk met office charts etc, a very good site for all this stuff.

I'm obviously missing something - it still seems to work okay for me.

One first impressions the new site seems better than the old

The charts are still free, just moved. Ignore the login page. The charts are under Forecasts/Deterministic Forecast.
