Ebespacher skin fitting, which way round?

This may be a really dumb question but which way round do I fit the angled skin fitting for the Ebespacher I’m fitting. Is it angled up to resist the ingress of water or down for a freer flow of exhaust gasses?

Angled up on the inside. Stops ingress of water.
