Can you help?
Just fitted an Eberspacher which has a little black box attached to the wiring, like the photo.
My last heater, same model never had this black box. Hence i might just bypass it, chop it out, unless it's worth keeping attached.
My last heater worked fine without one.

I am told it is a mini timer? However there are no controls on it, so has anyone got any ideas on how it works, what it does, why it is fitted?
Also, what is the WHITE wire for, where/what does it connect to?
I am assuming that this box of electronics is an added extra, and possibly needs connecting to some other gadget via the white wire to make it work. When bypassed, the heater works fine without it via the on/off switch.

It was a third party timer fitted for BT to run the heater for a fixed period of about 20 or possibly 30 minutes. Basically stopped the unit from being run for an extended period, cost and/or energy saving measure I guess. No problem bypassing it.

Its not the 'official' mini timer. As SSdog says it is a special timer fitted by BT.
I think it allows the heater to work for 1 hour and then wont start for another hour. Could be usefull in some circumstances but I threw mine away!!
