Having recently bought an old boat with a D5L'C' heater (with a Airtronic Range 7 Day Timer) onboard (which I've not yet had cause to use) I finally got around to servicing it today. I replaced all the usual suspects and went to start it for the first time and upon hitting the start button (the wavy heat lines) the display flashes up the text C100, I here a single click from the general direction of the heater but nothing else happens. I've checked the manuals and can't find anything that refers to a C100 fault code. Has anyone experienced this? What does C100 indicate?

Cheers...

No mention of c100 on my user manual , nothing on Buttler Technic either , the fault codes only go up to 099 Bowdeo . Daft question maybe but , have you operated a Eberspacher heater before . It takes a few minutes before the heater actually starts making the right noises and blows hot air out ? .

Yes, exactly the nub of the problem. I tried a reset too - the up and down arrows at the same time. Which didn’t do anything except flash up yet another odd code ‘0008’ also not in any manual I’ve been able to find. I spoke to Stu at Nacton Auto Electrics, he was also stumped. But he’s going to bring over his diagnostics gizmo, reset it and then we’ll see what happens. Thanks for the comment.

always worth checking voltage at startup at the unit as they are very temperamental at low voltage, they can pull quite a high current on startup especially from cold
