well mines on the bulkhead inside the main fuel tank area but it's still very loud! Yes it's properly mounted in the rubber thingy etc ........... seriously thinking of wrapping it in a bit of foam to muffle it a touch!

I mounted mine on a rubber bobbin type exhaust mounting - example - Can hardly hear mine now at all /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif The burny bit is mounted on 4 bushes as used to mount the parmax water pumps - this greatly cut down the noise transmitted to the hull / bulkhead.

ta - wish you had mentioned mounting the main unit like that when we were discussing my installation!!!! /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif Agree from the nature of the various sounds that this would also help reduce irritation. However there nothing that a we dram can't deal with on a cold night.......
