Eberspacher External Temp Sensor

Hello All,

First post here, apologies if already answered elsewhere.

I have an Eberspacher D5LC installed on the outside coming indoors, however it always runs on max, i believe it is because its pulling in the cold fresh air the temperature outside is starting to get alot colder.

I recently bought an External Eberspacher Temp Sensor, I read that i needed to connect it to the grey wire and brown and white at the plug, however I have two grey wires and one brown and white i have tried connectong to these in various combinations but makes no difference.

Please see photos for better explanation of what im trying to do, I would like to say thank you for taking the time to read and any help is much appreciated as im stuck.

Just to add the brown and white is the temp sensor wire however two of these wires go into pin 2 on the ecu and then one to the rheostat and and the plugged connection is two solid grey wires

I found the issue the brown and white connector at the plug brake in the wire!
