Thought this might be useful given time of year and all those ex bt heaters being installed.
To make exhausts for eberspachers in the past I have used shim stock to pack the exhaust pipe on the heater to fit the nearest size compression fitting for copper tubing then standard copper pipe thereafter. This also enables you to use those dinky bendable copper pipes used for final connections to sinks etc. Have done this for a few years now and never burnt one out.
Of course I would never suggest anybody else try this slipshod cheapskate improvisation without consulting HSE, solicitors etc etc. so dont blame me if it goes wrong.
