I mess about with Eberspachers and have amassed a number of suspect ECUs ( mainly D2s and D4s)
Some of them are non standard having been made for people like Scania, Mercedes and Daf.
It is dificult to get wiring diagrams for these heaters.
There are some leads in the ECU tails which are not normally used in the 'standard' eberspacher installation but which may be used in the installation of these 'truck variants'
Does anyone know what the following leads ( on the ECU tail) are for as I have never seen them employed.
Pink, black, blue ( not the blue/whitediagnostic lead) , blue/black.
The wiring diagrams only show them entering the ECU.
If no one can help then I will try Espar.
Many thanks!!

Can’t say for certain with Ebos as I have only Webo & Mikuni dealerships and stay clear of Ebos, but they sound like TRS cables i.e. used in hazardous cargo trucks and trucks entering hazardous areas. They shut down the heater before the cargo discharge pumps or gravity valves can be used.

It looks like David2452 was on the right track.. Eberspacher ADR!

Auxiliary Drive - ADR99 regulation - dangerous goods..

The document below shows the cables connected on page 41 and describes the regulation on page 7.

http://www.espar.com/tech_manuals/Airtronic_5/Airtronic D-B5L TS 04-2008 EN.pdf

Note - Pink appears to be shown in the diagram as 'rs' but is not in the colour key.

Hope this helps.. I learn something every day!

Thanks Marti J and David.
My D2 manual does not have all the wiring diagrams shown in 'yours' Just at a glance I can see a lot of useful information for 'speciall' applications and think it will be very useful.
I think there is clearly something in the ADR set up ( which I had earlier dismissed)
I stand corrected! Many thanks.
