I need your help again. I have the DL1c set up in the boat and fired it up yesterday evening. It ran for about 15 mins, then the fuel pump stopped clicking and it gave two or three sighs (change of fan speed) the fan then speeded up and it shut down over about 4 mins.
I have checked for any blockages, the inlet pipe is about a metre long - the same as the exhaust. I have cleaned the fuse which showed some slight corrosion. I have the rotary control set at 4 which should allow the inlet air to reach 30°C before shutting down. I have measured the inlet air before shutdown and it is 23 °C. The exhaust gases out of the skin fitting are 145 °C and the hot air into the ducting is about 80 °C.
Is it overheating and am I limited to three overheat cycles? I have now run it twice more this morning with runs of 20 mins and 14 mins with the same senario.
Should I remove the inlet thermostat? I had intended at a later date to do that.
Can any Eberspacher experts offer some advice please?

Had problems recently with a later model overheating, however it just shout down, no cooling off period as you have described. Mine was caused by one of the ducts beibg crushed and therefore restricting air flow.

Must have shut down over 6 times with no lock out.
