This morning I couldn't get the eber to fire up. Since had the boat it has worked but that has been when I have been on shore power.

The control is very simple a dial with markings to indicate heat from low to high and a 3 way switch, showing 1 / not sure what middle shows but this is off / 8 (think it mean fan)

Considering the boat came with manuals for everything and some, the eber manual does not show this type of control!

Set to 1, turned temp up full and ....... nothing! In case there wasn't enough umph in the battery I started engine and tried again - still nothing and no change in amps pulled from battery.

Any ideas, other than put on a fleece!

Sounds pretty much like a blown fuse on the DC side from the battery, I think you'd notice a draw on the battery otherwise, and if it still works on shore power it would seem to be the way to go

or put on a fleece

If there's nothing happening at all, and no amps being drawn, it certainly looks like the main supply fuse, Peter. One idea - did you turn up the heat setting first - if it's on minimum maybe the ambient temperature could already have been that warm, so it wouldn't bother starting.

OK, if completely dead then best start with the fuses as already advised, if OK move on to all connections being bright and tight, power (not just volts) available at the heater.
