Apart from the price, is there any reason why one could not use a motorhome heater instead of the marine version. From what i have read, i can't see ay difference, or have i overlooked something?!? tks

I don't believe that there's any difference, although the installation will be different and depending on where the exhaust and air intake are located, a covering cap and swan neck / u bend in the pipes can be a good idea as a water trap.

These units were originally designed for lorry cab's etc, they then found thier way into boats but I think you will find the unit is the same wether for road or marine use. You may be aware many old units came out of GPO vans and are now doing sterling service on boats.

Personally would not sail without one!!!!!

[/ QUOTE ]Yes you have overlooked something - the through hull exhaust fitting which I don't believe one gets with a caravan or motorhome installation.

I think the units are basically the same with the real difference being in the fitting kits.
