Hi, recently when turning on the heater, there is white smoke that lasts for about 5mins and then burns clean, is it just time for a clean, the unit is only 8mths old

mine does that, condensation, or is it damp on the glow plug?

Mine does it too, condensation/moisture in the exhaust. Remember the book advises a 30minute run once a month, helps to keep it running properly. I learned the hard way. A service on mine, 2 years old but only used 3 or 4 times set me back £300.

I'm watching D1 and D2s on ebay at the moment - it it worth chasing a D2?
