Why would someone advertise Greek chart folios, but only post to the UK, when most of the people who use them are out here.?. 3 messages. no reply,
Every one moans about lack of customers etc, yet cannot be bothered to reply, maybe its just me, what do you think.

The same mentality as those offering folding bikes- collection only.

Shame because I have sold several boat and non boat related items through eBay that I have sent abroad. I have had to renegotiate postage however but the buyers have never complained about that.

Unfortunately some people are very inflexible.

I once emailed a seller about a pair of bicycle forks that he had stated were "for collection only".
I asked could they please post them and they replied 'no' - because he didn't know how to send a parcel!!!

I have bought lots from ebay and also this forum, never had a non delivery, i always ask for Royal mail small packets signed, one part of the post office thats really efficiant, just a shame that some people sell bits for one part the world, but will not post there.

Ebay is a very mixed bag. There are some who are excellent and have good deals for postage to the EU and cost little more than UK postage. Then there are the ones who don't want to do it and quote real silly money for shipping, and then there are those who will not even bother to be silly about it.

I get quite a lot from Ebay and have had plenty of decent deals for UK stuff being sent to Portugal, I just wish some of the delivery companies here could read maps.

Hi, some years ago I sold a couple of rare and unique trials motorcycles. The buyer lived in a town near Girona. He asked how much to ship them.I replied that if he paid the ferry and fuel I would deliver. As a semi pro motorcycle racer I had a proper transporter and knew all the angles on ferry deals. He agreed and my wife and I had a great week. We went down non-stop without using toll roads and met the guy who was over the moon with the bikes. He showed us his collection of over 200 off road competition motorcycles. He really was serious about his passion! When we left we became tourists and spent five days slowly eating and drinking our way back home. It was a good deal for us both, with the bonus that he treated us to dinner and paid for the first night in a local hotel. I wish all EBAY deals were like that. He was a proper gentleman and more than kept his word.

I to have dealt with some very good ebay sellers, who are more than helpfull, some whose idea of postage = the national debt, but in the main very good, on this forum i have had a couple of no replys to pms but again in the main very helpfull and a pleasure to deal with. I just cannot understand people who sell charts for a specific area then refuse to answer email queries and send to that area.
