Ebay Centaur trashed by eejit

Given the fact secondhand values for these are still on the floor then boats in this condition are IMO essentially worthless, i think the way you'd recoup money would be breaking it for spares but thinking about it you've still got to dispose of the plasticky bits so probably not then.....................

The right price for this would be a symbolic offer of say............ooh i dunno........ 100 quid?

Bargain. Take the engine to the scrap metal merchant along with the anchor and you'll see a profit. Then you've got the rest for nothing. All you need now is an engine and an anchor and off you go.

Therefore just what Dylan is looking for provided he can get it for close to £00

Sell the engine for parts

Dig a hole in the bottom for an outboard

Slap a bit of white emulsion around the inside

Refit some of the interior

Job done .......

and

back in the scrap yard again beyond all hope of restoration a few months/ weeks/ days later

we shall see if your predictions will come true

however, if the hole thing happens then she would at least have the socks sailed off her for a season or two before being scrapped - taken on a few adventures, become the subject of some blogs, columns - and maybe even a few old blokes eating humble pie

- my guess is that if the well plan works Centaur prices will rise again.

However, having spent ten cold days being bashed against a pontoon and only sailing for four hours then some sort of motor sailer is the answer

this one for instance
