Thought I'd offer some comments on places we ate during our cruising this year so far. In general we've been struck by the courtesy and friendliness of people in bars pubs and restaurants (as well as marinas). No dud food in general which was encouraging.
Ship Inn Levington -very good food imaginatvely put together with good service
Harbour lights Titchmarsh very good food and service -the mussels were great!
Cullins Yard Dover -five mins from marina very good, had to book but good quality and worth the little wait -rack of ribs splendid!
Chapter 8 Dover Chinese buffet -good value and variety to choose from at £10 per head
Belgian cafe Brighton super atmosphere great choice of belgian beers as well (Near the pier but over the road)
Lifeboat East Cowes good value pub eating with good service
Red Duster Cowes -the priciest meal of the trip and least good value but consistant with Cowes pricing I guess.
Chiquito Mexican Portsmouth Gunwharf -enjoyed this one and got a table in 5 mins on a Sat night
