Does anyone have any experience of changing the furling line for the Easyreef in-mast furling main system?

I went to change it today and the furling line is fixed through a hole in the furling drum then secured with some kind of screw fixing. The fixing on my easyreef system seems to have sheared off however so not easy to remove it.

If anyone can confirm how the furling line is secured that would be useful and would help me decide how to remove the stuck fixing. Any pictures would be useful as well if anyone happens to have one?

Many thanks.

Murray.

I changed the furling line on my Easyreef system about 3 or 4 years ago and if memory serves me correctly, the line went into a hole and a s/steel grubscrew locked the line down. I have since sold the boat so cannot check I'm afraid. I do remember being a bit uneasy about it and the job actually turned out to be very straightforward as the grubscrew came out without trouble and the replacement rope slid easily into the hole. I'm not sure how much the Easyreef systems changed, but mine (fitted by previous owner) was early 1990's vintage I believe.

Many thanks for this. It may be that the allen key slot on the grub screw is slightly deformed as it looked like something had perhaps sheared off from it.
