Quick question, our 27 footer is fitted with an Easyreef system. I’m not so sure the reefing line presently fitted is the correct diameter. It needs replacing anyway so does anyone have a user manual for the system or does anyone simply “know” the correctly specified diameter?

We’re launching on Friday so advice pre Friday would be gratefully received! Also if anyone’s personally changed the furling line - any advice to,impart?

I use a 8mm outhaul and 6mm inhaul (the line that wraps around the drum).
I don't have a Easyreef manual despite many attempts at sourcing one - please post it if someone comes up with one!

What is making you think that? I ask because when we had our easyreef system. I initially thought the reefing line to the drum was slightly too thick (I think it was 8mm from memory) but I realised with use that this was on purpose so that it snugged between the vertical stainless steel guide bar and the drum itself to make a nice tight wrap on the drum. If the reef line is too thin, it might not furl so neatly onto the drum. The angle of attack for the line to the drum is also important. I adjusted the reef line block so that the line was about 90 degrees to mid part of furl the drum.
