I know lots of liveaboards have musical instruments on board.

I have resurrected my attempts to play the guitar.

Whilst I am sat in the med all day waiting for a bite that will never come as there are no fish left can anyone suggest easy songs to play on a guitar?

The trouble is I learnt that one last week but no one knew the words. I want something a bit harder than that.
Seriously... amazing.

This year I learnt to play one of these:

Most blues are fairly easy - start with "Careless Love", best recording IMHO was Billie Holliday with the Teddy Wilson Band, but it's a classic standard because it's so easy to play/sing.

As one who learned very many years ago, I started with skiffle and the pop songs of the 50s. Most of these had three, maybe four, major chords with the odd minor. Learn these in a variety of keys and they will form the basis for going further. Many are blues based, probably best in E (with A and B7) whereas many of the pop songs were in C. Amazing number used the C, Am, F, G7 progression. There is a huge variety of rhythms in these songs to develop your right hand technique. Try 'Peggy Sue' in A, an interesting rhythm and I still recall the pleasure of finding that the odd chord in the middle eight was F.

Thanks.. now got a few songs. There is a good group here from the boats who play each week. I know I will sound like a keel going over coral but you are right. I just need to join in.

4 chords will give you 90% of blues and rock n roll
C A minor F G7 will give a raft of ballads and C&W
C F G7 will give even more R&R
Learn to "two string" in E A &B7 and you be able to do Status Quo and ZZ Top till the cows come home.
I remember in the late sixties being on tour with a semi pro band as a fill in drummer, as the incumbent fell I'll with mumps. When the drummer returned the rhythm guitar fell ill. In one afternoon the lead guitar taught me the above and next evening I was on stage at Filey Butlins having a great time.
Simples!
