Hi,

We're off to Cornwall next month and I'd like to take my 16' fibreglass boat. I've been looking at beach or easier launches around Looe and Polperro and found Millendreath Beach and Talland Bay. The latter has a lot of websites which states small boats can be launched from a ramp with permission from the Beach Cafe but imtelephoned them and the lad who answered seemed to have no idea what I was talking about!

Does anyone here have any further information about beach launches in this area please?

Thanks.

You can or could launch at Looe harbour. Just by the café. It is a small slipway for dinghies. Don't think you have to ask anyone.

We have done it. but it was some time ago. The winds in the entrance are very fickle. So a sail boat needs to take care.

Thanks for that.

I have had mentioned the Millpool car park so could be the same one. Apparently that is free.

The main thing I wanted to try and avoid was the tidal river in Looe as the boat ideally would come in every end of day.

Ive just got a 20hp outboard for it so not a sail boat and should push along nicely.

Thanks again.
