Yay! That's a significant improvement on the long-range forecast from last month. Hopefully the 'good weather' one will prove to be the accurate one !!

I use the US Air Force Europe site, they use their own data, rather than re-using the met office data. If the 2 match, then the forecast is normally quite accurate.

They both forecast a HUGE big high sitting over most of the UK all weekend

That is to say, looking really good for someone travelling east from Lymington toward, say, Shotley? /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif
Really good in that westerly 3-4 would allow a 1st cruise shakedown, and no nasty green stuff over the front sort of really good?

Ah, well that will suit Morgana Carta then. I look forward to it. Cruising chute and sheets are in the back of the car /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

Well - we are going from Shortley to Portsmouth - see you on the way - don't use the same waypoints or we might bump into you!

Looks like it will be a test of the engine for the whole way.

Hee Hee..... i've been watching the forecast Easterlies with the usual resignation.... imagine my delight when all the forecasts suddenly converged on Westerly a few days ago.....

It was always going to get one of us!!!!!

Plan is Portsmouth Friday evening, Eastbourne Saturday evening, Ramsgate Sunday evening, Shotley Monday evening....

You never know... we might end up in the same place..... Beneteau Oceanis 400, Morgana.... keep an eye out!
