who is doing what ?

We are planning a trip to the boat before then, to check things out & Use it like a caravan

Well, the plastering was finished a couple of weeks ago, walls are painted, the gloss bits are finished. Electrical fittings went back on yesterday. Carpet Man turns up during the week, and hopefully Mr Plumber will put the radiator back on before Carpet Man arrives.

Oh, sorry, you meant the BOAT ?!?

I'm not allowed to do anything to the BOAT until the HOUSE is finished :(:(:(:(:(

Not sure about your maths

This monday starts Wk 9

Easter Monday is starting Wk15

?????????

Im glad you said that i was getting worried i had cocked up my maths!!!

We have the boat out for three weeks (comes out friday), to do an outdrive service, antifoul, replace a trim tab ram, hull polish, replace anodes, engine service and other general cleaning and maintenance tasks.

Then its back in for a week to check everything has gone back in the correct order before heading off a week later to play on the Humber.

Not sure what we are doing at Easter though as we cant get onto the Trent due to low tide heights. Will have to go to Boston instead me thinks.

"who is doing what ?"

You can forget St Kats....... its full.

And just in case you were thinking of moving your boat there and renting it out over the Olympics for a couple of grand a day........your too late............. it was booked up years ago.

What happened ref the idea of moving the Caravan around Anglesey a bit Debs?
And as well as.
There are 40 days till Easter according to My Calendar.
Divide by 7 thats 5.75 weeks innit!;)

Down to the boat this weekend (weather doesn't look up to much), maybe some tuition from Powerskipper, if she can fit us in.

Lifted mid-week for antifoul, anodes, polish and upgraded thrusters, back in a week later to check all is well.

VolvoPaul then does the servicing, if he can tear himself away from some French based boats.

Then, finally we get to use it over Easter, with family on board.

correct, have to allow time for us retiree's to get there, wash the boat, and get the provisions in, well before the Easter hordes arrive.

Me backs been bad since November and it's only just getting a bit better now.

Debs timing is spot on, but just depends when you start Easter.:)

Tush and Tish...think of the fun you'll have as you take on the demands of the upper Medway, while us hard types sit in Burnham/Ramsgit worrying about getting home.
It was alright last time, when we stumbled across you semi drifting aimlessly off Foulness with no tall chimleys to assist you with your navigation.

Change of plan, going to Tollesbury instead.

think we will be going round Angelsey again, though the pictures of boating down south, from a year or so ago, do look wonderfull. Might go back there, could do without the 5 hour drive which is why we are in Wales. Urrm for now.

Having given it some thought I think I fancy a round-the-island cruise, but a lot is going to depend on how much traffic there is afloat.

Easter is very early this year, so hopefully there will be fewer people about on the water than usual over the holiday due to still numbers still waiting to go back in.

What do the panel think - will Yarmouth, Cowes and Bembridge be busier or quieter than normal this Easter holiday?

well our Easter will probably start in March, but the regular Easter is early April, which isn't as bad as a proper March Easter. Busy is good, lots to look at, help with, & folks to chat to.
