East Mids Meet (Part Trois)

All,

Given that its the summer period coming up, and lots of hols will be planned, suggest that we arrange a date for the next meet sooner rather than later...

Suggest Wed June 22nd, venue TBA, but nearer Nicho this time, perhaps Northampton way? When he gets back from galivanting across Europe in large and expensive boats, then maybe he can advise a decent venue /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif

It'll be an evening of pleasant company, a good pub bar meal, and a decent pint somewhere!...... given that this one will be a bit further south, maybe we might see a few new Scuttlebutters coming along? both the previous meets have been really good fun, and its fantastic to put some faces to some names....

Hi all,

Just back Sunday night - 1690 miles, 8 days and nights non stop, apart from just 6 hours in Scicily!! Knackered, but what an experience - plenty to tell you on the 22nd june, which is OK by me by the way. I'll find somewhere around the Leicester area, sort of midway between us, and let you know.

The date's now in my diary - being a bit further "sarf" than you, a more southerly venue would be better for me...

I think the plan was to stay a bit further south than Leicester to give us southern softies a bit less of a journey.... we might also attract a few of the northern home counties crowd if we are lucky.... or maybe we should keep it slightly more northern in order to keep Jimi away......

Understood Neil - I'll make it somewhere round here. I think we should encourage Jimi to make it, he still owes us 2 x £20 for the first two meets!!

Fer Chris sake.... Jimi drove to Nottingham recently to retrieve his bleedin' wallet... so I am sure he can make it to buy a round in Northampton.....

Discussed this with Nicho today, we thought Dublin might be a good venue for the next EM meet
